Bus Routes and Drivers
Bus Routes for the 2012/2013 school year are currently posted. If you need to request an alternate bus for daycare or multiple parent home transportation needs, please read the Alternate Transportation Request below.
Hiring safe drivers for our buses and vans is an important part of transportation. Please read the Bus Driver Hiring Policies to understand the screening and hiring process all our drivers must go through and the ongoing training during their employment as a driver.
Alternate Transportation Request
All students who are not in a walking area are assigned a bus to/from home and school during the summer months. It is not assumed that any alternate arrangements your child needed during the previous school year (i.e. daycare, multiple parent homes) will remain the same for the next school year. Please fill out the Request for Alternate Transportation form during the summer prior to each school year, and during a current school year if your needs change during the year. Completed forms should be sent to the Transportation Department via mail, email, or fax, (see addresses and numbers at the bottom of this page) or dropped at your school office for forwarding to the Transportation Office.
Transportation Handbook
The Transportation Handbook contains bus safety rules, Board of Education policies, motor vehicle regulations, and general transportation information. If you have any questions after reviewing it, please contact the Transportation Coordinator, listed at the bottom of this page.

Activity Bus
Secondary students at HJM and SHS who remain after school for activities may use the Activity Bus to get home. Buses leave HJM at 3:50 pm and SHS at 4:00 pm. There are two activity buses, one servicing the north end of town and one servicing the south end. The routes are very general and do not follow the regular routes or regular stops since these two buses essentially cover the same distance as 30 regular routes. Students who are first-time users of the Activity Bus should tell the driver where they live and ask where the closest stop will be for them to exit the bus. The activity buses do not run on SHS/HJM early dismissal days. Please read the description of the Activity Routes and view the Activity Bus Route Map to become familiar with where the route runs in relation to your home.
